2017 Photo Contest Rules & Regulations
These Rules and Regulations are final on all matters relating to Salty Dog Canvas' 2017 Photo Contest (the "Contest). By posting, all entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and Regulations.
Sponsor
The Contest Sponsor is Salty Dog Canvas, 139 Victoria Dr., Cameron, ON K0M 1G0. This contest was not issued in connection with Facebook, Instagram or any third-party media.
Eligibility
No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest or to win a prize. There is no limit on the number of entries per person. An image will be declared invalid if it does not contain Salty Dog Canvas products or accessories; is misleading or detrimental to Sponsors' reputation; or contains obscene or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content; or violates the Rules and Regulations, all as determined at the Sponsor's sole discretion.
Personal Information
Personal Information collected from entrants will be used to notify the winners only. The Contest Sponsor nor its affiliates will not share personal information with any third parties.
Publication
By submitting photos to the contest, entrants hereby grant Salty Dog Canvas the unlimited license to use images on the Salty Dog Canvas websites, email programs, Facebook and Instagram pages and in any promotional material. Model releases are the responsibility of the entrant and must be available in the event the image is a winner.
Copyright Notice
By entering this contest, participants grant (or warrant that the owner of such material expressly grants) Salty Dog Canvas a world-wide, royalty-free, irrevocable and non-exclusive right and license to use, reuse, copy, adapt, publish, republish, distribute and create compilations and derivative works or merchandise from the images in whole or in part, individually or in connection with other material, in any and all media now or hereafter known, including the internet, and for any purpose whatsoever, specifically including illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising and trade, without restriction as to alteration. The entrant releases and discharges Salty Dog Canvas from any and all claims and demands that may arise out of or in connection with the use of the image, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy. The entrant represents and warrants that it has the right to grant the license above.
Deadlines
Contest opens August 5, 2017 and closes October 31, 2017 at midnight ET. 10 prize winners will be chosen randomly and winners will be notified within 5 business days.
Prizes
There is one Grand Prize and 9 finalist prizes. Entrants will be drawn at random. Winners will be notified by Facebook or Instagram and have 7 days to respond and return the release form (see below). The chances of winning a prize will depend on the number of images received. All prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferrable, and not convertible to cash. By accepting a prize, the prize winner agrees to hold Salty Dog Canvas and its respective agencies, affiliates and agents and anyone else involved in the development, production or handling of the Contest, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of acceptance or use of a prize.
In order to be declared a winner, the selected Entrant must sign and return a release form confirming eligibility and compliance with these Contest Rules and Regulations. Entrants who fail or are unable to meet any of these Rules and Regulations may be disqualified and alternate winner(s) will be selected.
